A Longview woman is behind bars after being arraigned on charges of injury to a child.
Police say Cynthia Gonzalez, 26, of Longview, brought her two-year-old daughter to a Longview hospital on December 26, 2011. The child was observed to have bruising, missing teeth, a skull fracture and internal bleeding.
The girl was taken to Dallas Children's Hospital, where she remains. She is expected to survive but have permanent physical impairment.
Gonzalez was arraigned this morning on the charges, and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
