ORLANDO, Fla. -- A civil case against Casey Anthony could head to trial in Aprial.
Attorneys discussed the upcoming with Judge Lisa Munyon in a hearing at 8:30 a.m.
On Wednesday, Attorneys for Gonzalez filed the motion to have Anthony held liable for statement made by her mother, Cindy, during the search for Caylee Anthony. But no motions were heard at the hearing.
Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation. She claims her life was ruined when Anthony have her name to investigators during the search for Caylee.
At the hearing, attorneys for Gonzalez asked the judge for a jury pool of 50 people, which is larger than the judge suggested.
Attorneys said they plan to file more motions before the trial's start.
Anthony's attorneys said she does not need to be present for the civil proceedings, but Gonzalez's attorneys said plan to subpoena Anthony for the trial.
