DIANE PEREZ - 5 Months/ Accused: Mother-Mariela Flores-Valle - Bronson MI

A 22-year-old woman in southern Michigan is
charged with murder in the death of her 5-month-old daughter, who
prosecutors say had a skull fracture.
The Daily Reporter of
Coldwater, WTVB-TV and WOOD-TV report Mariela Flores-Valle, who was
living in Bronson, is charged in the February death of her daughter,
5-month-old Diane Perez.

Defense lawyer David Moore
says an arraignment was held Wednesday and his client was held without
bond. She's due back in court May 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Moore says his client is a loving mother and she "would never in a million years" hurt any of her children.

An autopsy determined that
Diane died of blunt force trauma to the head. Child Protective Services
removed the child's twin brother and two other children from the home.
