Jose Baez tests response from public still seething over Casey Anthony trial

ORLANDO, FLORIDA--- In an attempt to test the waters, Jose Baez appeared on HLN's "Dr. Drew" show to promote an upcoming book in which he discusses his role as lead attorney for Casey Anthony.
The book, "Presumed Guilty: Casey Anthony: The Inside Story" details what Baez claims went on behind the scenes during the trial of his most infamous client.-
Baez was than forthcoming, however, on details regarding the upcoming book, which is due out this July. Known for his smugness, Baez answered most direct questions about his memoir by directing viewers to purchase the book.
Interestingly, Mr. Baez took the time to publicly denounce claims that he had unethical or improper relationship with Casey Anthony, claiming that the two shared a "very professional" relationship.
News of the book deal added fuel to the fire to an angry public still seething from the verdict in which Anthony was found not guilty by a Florida jury of murdering her two-year-old daughter, Caylee and tossing her lifeless body in a swamp near her home.
Through social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, thousands of protesters have urged a boycott against any media outlet that pays for interviews or otherwise capitalizes upon the death of the slain toddler. Further, online petitions have surfaced, demanding that the book's publisher, BenBella Books cancel the book's release.
As for his notorious former client, Baez states that Anthony has approved the book, adding "Casey has authorized me to write it. I have her complete and total permission."
Baez also disapproved of the backlash against the Anthony jury by members of the media and outraged public.
The twelve person jury panel, which was bussed in to Orlando from Pinellas County, Florida acquitted Anthony after less than a full day's deliberation, failing to review a single piece of witness testimony or forensic evidence provided to them. Much of the evidence was expert testimony that pointed directly to Anthony's guilt. Several members of the jury offered to sell their story for a fee shortly after the verdict was declared.
Anthony remains in hiding as a result of multiple death threats made against her and, according to most recent reports, remains unemployed and is "no longer seeking therapy".
