Casey Anthony served with subpoena civil suit

Casey Anthony: Come out, come out, wherever you are!

The 26-year-old mom acquitted of murder in the death of her child was flushed from her hideaway in Florida by investigators who served her with a subpoena stemming from a defamation suit, according to reports.

During the police’s investigation surrounding the death of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony, Casey Anthony told authorities the girl was kidnapped by a nanny named "Zenaida Gonzalez," or Zanny.

This wasn’t true and the nanny didn’t exist, her lawyers eventually admitted.

However, a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez does exist, and claims in a lawsuit her life was turned upside down by Anthony’s statements.

Gonzalez's attorney, Matt Morgan, told People magazine Monday that process servers were waiting outside Anthony's apartment to server her with papers.

"Our investigation team had her whereabouts pinned down," Morgan said.

"Their backs were against the wall, so her attorneys said that they would accept service on her behalf."

Cheney Mason, one of her lawyers, said she would accept the subpoena and show up to trial, Florida station WFTV reported.

Anthony has been in hiding since she was acquitted last July of murdering her daughter.

In January, a grainy black-and-white video diary surfaced showing the former brunette with a blond bob and thick black glasses.

Rumors cropped up that she was hiding out at a church in Palm City, Fla., and getting help from a pastor there.

During a deposition in the Gonzalez suit in October, Anthony testified via videoconferencing — disguised in a black wig, a hat and sunglasses — and invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination more than 60 times.

She's expected to appear at trial in Orlando on Jan. 2, and may have to take the stand in her defense, according to People.

"Ms. Gonzalez is happy to hear that Casey Anthony finally will be held accountable just like everybody else," Morgan told the magazine.
