MELANIE DAVY - 15 yo - Lakeville (S of Minneapolis) MN

A 15-year-old girl is missing after her father failed to bring her home after his visitation this week.




Police say Melanie Meri Davy and her father Shon Allen Davy, 38, were
last seen Monday. Shon Davy has a criminal history and the child’s
welfare is a concern, according to law enforcement.

Police say he has no known vehicle and is believed to use public
transportation. He also has severe medical issues and is supposed to be
under the supervision of a personal care attendant.

Melanie is described as 5-foot-3, 110 pounds with long dark blonde
hair, freckles and was believed to be wearing a white shirt with the
Cookie Monster on the front, blue jeans and flip flops. Shon is
described as 5-foot-2, 109 pounds with blonde hair, a red beard or
goatee and a missing right eye.

Missing 15-Year-Old Found Safe, Father Arrested

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Some observant citizens at a Lake Elmo restaurant are being credited with locating a missing 15-year-old girl.

Lakeville Police say 15-year-old Melanie Davy, and her 38-year-old
father Shon Davy, were spotted leaving the bathroom at the restaurant
Thursday morning.

The State Patrol showed up, and took the two into custody around 7:30 a.m.
Melanie was apparently in good shape, and returned to her mother. Shon
Davy was taken into custody, where he is awaiting charges of
Deprivation of Parental Rights.

Authorities have found the missing 15-year-old believed to be with her father.
Lakeville police say Melanie Davy did not return from visitation with her father, 38-year-old Shon Davy, on Monday.

Law enforcement were concerned about Davy's welfare because of her
father's criminal history, according to a crime alert from the Bureau
of Criminal Apprehension.

Shon Davy has "severe medical issues" and is supposed to be under
the supervision of a personal care attendant, authorities say.
Police have not released information other than to say the girl has been found and the suspect is in custody.
