Casey Anthony Charged With Murder In Daughter's Death

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A U.S. representative is seeking funds in the memory of Caylee Anthony that would go toward a missing-child program.
U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson has asked for $500,000 from Congress that would go to the Fort Lauderdale-based organization "A Child Is Missing," which helps people nationwide.
The only requirement for Grayson's request is that the money would be spend in the 8th District, which includes Orange, Lake and Marion counties. The money could be used to open a branch named after Caylee in Central Florida.
Grayson has not spoken to Caylee's family about the federal funding request.
Caylee's remains were discovered in December in a wooded lot near the Anthony family home in east Orange County. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July, about a month after she was last seen alive.
Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, 23, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in her daughter's death.

MOREOVER, a recent *$30,000.00 purchase OF A BASS BOAT ... designated as a KID FINDERS speedboat. Named THE CAYLEE ANTHONY SEARCH FOR MISSING CHILDREN pleasure craft.
AS HAS BEEN SAID, " SIR, HAVE YOU NO SHAME????" THE EXPLOITATION OF an abandoned, tortured and murdered 3-yr old child CONTINUES.
EVERY AMERICAN should be OUTRAGED. CHARLIE CRIST: ARE YOU REALLY planning a career IN NATIONAL POLITICS? What does MEL MARTINEZ CARE ... HE'S a lame duck --but YOU fought your own party to back Obama's stimulus plan. IS THIS WISE USE of precious taxpayer funds?

A new poll shows support for Republican Governor Charlie Crist goes both ways.
Quinnipiac University's survey of Florida voters found Crist does just as well among people in either party: 68% of Republicans approve of the job he's doing, and 66% of Democrats do as well.
"Many politicians do very well among members of their own party, and not very well among members of the opposition party," said Peter Brown, assistant director of Quinnipiac's Polling Institute. "Governor Crist does as well among everybody."
Crist's high approval rating is even more impressive in light of massive job losses, falling property values, and cuts to government services in Florida. It raises the specter that Crist will aspire to higher office with a run for the U.S. Senate when Mel Martinez vacates the seat in 2011.
If Crist does give up the Governor's mansion, the Quinnipiac poll found Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum the front-runner to suceed him on the Republican side, and for the Democrats state Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink is out front.
Although both candidates would face a challenge increasing their name recognition, the poll found McCollum has the advantage. His approval rating stands at 48%, compared to Sink's 33%.
