A 3-year-old boy was abandoned today at a bus stop in South Los
Angeles, and police sought the public's help locating the child's
parents. The child was found around 12:40 a.m. at a bus stop at
Florence Avenue and Broadway, according to the Los Angeles Police
Department. A witness said the boy had been sleeping on the bus
bench next to a woman, and when the bus arrived the woman got on,
leaving the child behind, police said.

"The citizen yelled to
the woman to tell her that she forgot about the child, but she waved
him off," police said in a statement.

The man sat with the
boy for about an hour, waiting for the woman to return, but no one came
to the bus stop to claim the child, police said.

The child
was taken to the nearby 77th Area police station and later turned over
to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services,
police said.

Police believe the boy's first name may be
Xavier. He is Hispanic, about 30 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair
styled in a Mohawk.

Police in Los Angeles, California are looking for the parents of a
three-year-old boy found abandoned at a local bus stop Friday (10/9).
A Good Samaritan found the child at about 12:40 a-m local time at a
bus stop on the corner of Florence Avenue and South Broadway, just east
of the 1-10 Freeway.
The witness told police that he saw the child sleeping on a bus bench next to an adult woman.
He said when the bus arrived the woman got on, leaving the child behind.
He said the child screamed to her but she waved him off.
The witness told police he waited for more than an hour with the
child before bringing him to the Los Angeles Police Department in South
L-A.
The boy was checked out at a local hospital but had no signs of
trauma or abuse. Police say the boy was energetic and happy at the
police station Friday (10/9) afternoon.
The boy is Hispanic, weighs approximately 30 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, and has a Mohawk-style haircut.
The parents or guardians of the child could face charges of child abandonment or child endangerment.

A Bakersfield grandmother is speaking out after her daughter allegedly
abandoned her 3-year-old grandson in the middle of the night at a south
Los Angeles bus stop.Angela Thomas lives in Bakersfield and said she heard the story over this past weekend while watching TV.
On Oct. 9, the LAPD said a homeless man found Xavier Nelson, 3, at a bus
stop at the corner of Florence and Broadway in Los Angeles.
Witnesses said Xavier’s mother abandoned him there.Thomas said she recognized the boy and called the Los Angeles Police Department.Xavier
remains in protective custody and Thomas said that CPS removed
Xavier's 11-month old sibling from her house this morning because she
doesn't have custody of them.Thomas is afraid her daughter,
Victoria, may have fallen in with the wrong crowd, and said the
best place for the children is home with her.
Thomas said the last time she spoke with her daughter was Oct. 5 and doesn't know where she is now.
Thomas said that Victoria may be in danger and said she may have been forced to leave Xavier at the bus stop.

I have only been able to find limited information on if Victoria Nelson,Xavier’s mom has yet to be found.
Looks like she has disappeared before, under terrible, human trafficking type of circumstances..
