St. Petersburg Police officers are looking for a 10-year-old bi-polar child whose been missing since Friday.

Police say 10-year-old Eric Burroughs left his home on 15th Avenue North around 4:30 am Friday and hasn't been seen since.

Detective
Joe Bross said Burroughs takes medication for his illness, but it's not
clear if he took any before he left. Without it he can be aggressive,
usually towards himself, Bross added.

He has a history of
running away, but never for this length of time, according to Bross.
Thursday he left home without his mother's permission, but returned 4
hours later.
Bross
said Burroughs' mother didn't report her son missing until nearly 12
hours after he disappeared, because she thought he would come home as
he had done before.

Police are searching several areas the boy is known to frequent.

If you have seen Burroughs or have any idea where he is, please call St. Petersburg Police.

A 10-year-old bi-polar child missing since Friday has been found alive and well.

Detectives
learned that 10-year-old Eric Burroughs, who had been missing
since 4:30 am Friday morning, willingly left his home on 15th Avenue
North with friends to go to a birthday party in Beverly Hills with some
friends, without his mother's knowledge.

One of the friend's
fathers, who detectives said speaks limited English, drove the teens to
Citrus County. The teens told him Burroughs had permission to go with
them.

Detective Joe Bross said Burroughs needs medication for his illness, and had not taken it before he left.

Without it he can be aggressive, usually towards himself, Bross added.

His mother reported him missing Friday afternoon.

Sunday the teen used a friend's phone to text his mother, and Citrus County detectives found him at the friend's home.

He has a history of running away, but never for this length of time, according to Bross.
