The DAVIS Children - Spartanburg NC

Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office reports a mother and father were arrested on unlawful child neglect charges.

John and Amy Davis were charged after deputies responded to a report of child abuse.


The deputy entered the house and found little to no food and no beds anywhere in the home.

When the deputies spoke to the children they were told that the
mother had been drinking and had physically assaulted all three of
them. Two of the older children said it happened a lot.

The children told the deputy that they were told by their parents
not to tell the guidance counselor at school what was happening because
they would be taken away.

The children were placed in emergency protective custody.
