DEREK GUIDRY - 9 yo - Pearl MS

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old boy from Pearl who has been missing since Sunday night.

Derek Guidry was last seen around 9 p.m. Sunday when he walked from his home on Bierdeman Road to a friend's house a short distance way, police said.

Derek was supposed to catch a ride with his friend to the movie theater but never made it to his friend’s house, police said.

He is white, 4 feet 11 inches tall, about 130 pounds and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a maroon jersey and a blue jacket.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Pearl police at (601) 939-7000.

Derek Guidry was last seen Sunday night leaving a friend's house on Bierdeman Street in Pearl around 7:30.
His mother, Tiffany Morella, says Derek is 4-feet, 11-inches tall;
weighs about 130-pounds and was wearing blue jeans and a maroon shirt
with athletic department written on it.
"The last time I talked with him was Sunday at about 5:30. I talked
with him and he said he was going to; he was calling to ask if he could
go to a movie with some friends and I asked for the phone number so I
could get in touch with the people and make sure he had a ride to the
movie," said the boy's mother.
Morella is asking you to contact Pearl Police if you have any
information that can help her find her 9-year-old son, Derek Guidry.

Derek Guidry, 9, was found in Brandon and said to be OK. Guidry was last seen Sunday night walking home from a friend's home on Bierderman Road, according to police.
