COPPERAS COVE - Copperas Cove Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 15 year-old-girl.
Ashley Sallwey was visiting her grandmother in Copperas Cove.
She was last seen near the Family Food Mart at 2011 Urbantke Lane in
Copperas Cove on Monday wearing blue jeans with holes, black Croc
shoes, black leather jacket, and had a black leather purse.

She had been seen talking with someone in a white pickup truck. Police are carrying the case as a welfare concern case.
Sallwey is described as five feet, five inches tall, weighs 140
pounds and has dark reddish hair. Anyone who has seen her is asked to
call the Copperas Cove Police Department Patrol Division at
254-547-4274.

The search was under way Thursday to find a missing 15-year-old from Cedar Park.

The
mother of Ashley Rene Sallwey posted fliers across Copperas Cove
Thursday asking for the public's help. Meanwhile friends created a
Facebook group and posted on social networking sites to expand the
search.

Sallwey disappeared Monday while visiting her grandmother in Copperas Cove, Sallwey's mother, Carrie Sallwey, said Thursday.

Copperas
Cove police are looking into the case as a welfare concern and do not
suspect foul play, said Copperas Cove Police Department spokesman Lt.
Daniel Austin.

Sallwey was last seen near a white pickup truck
at the Cove Food Mart, also known as Family Food Mart or Lucky Foods,
around noon Monday. The store is at 23rd Street and Urbantke Lane.

Sallwey is described as a white female approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with dark red or auburn hair.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans with holes, black Croc shoes, a black leather jacket and carrying a black leather purse.

Ashley Rene Sallwey, the 15-year-old Cedar Park girl who disappeared
Monday while visiting her grandmother in Copperas Cove, was found late
Friday night in Killeen, according to Copperas Cove police and her
mother, Carrie Sallwey.

Killeen police released no information
about the matter Saturday, and Carrie Sallwey said little about her
daughter's condition but credited the networking of friends on social
Web sites for locating her daughter.

She said Ashley was "not a
runaway" but said she could not discuss why she went missing from the
vicinity of a convenience store at the intersection of 23rd Street and
Urbantke Lane in Cove.

Sallwey has not given the name of the grandmother Ashley was visiting.
