The search is on for a 17-year-old Belleville girl who failed to return home after working a shift at Taco Bell early Sunday. Carmen P. Whittaker was last seen leaving work in her sky-blue 1992 Toyota Corolla at 1:30 am Sunday. She was dressed in her Taco Bell uniform, consisting of black pants, black polo shirt, and black ball cap. Police say Carmen Whittaker did not return home and has not contacted anyone since leaving work. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Department at (618) 234-1212. * * * * Authorities are asking for the public’s help Monday to find a teen they say may be in trouble. According to the Belleville Police Department, Carmen P. Whittaker, 17, was last seen leaving her work at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. She was dressed in her Taco Bell uniform, including black pants, a black polo shirt, and black ball cap. She was driving a sky blue 1992 Toyota Corolla 4-door automobile with Illinois registration K348745.  Investigators said Whittaker did not return home and has not contacted anyone since that time. She’s described as a black female, 5’5”, 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Department at (618) 234-1212. |

A 17-year-old Belleville girl who was
reported missing Sunday has been located at the Belleville residence of
an acquaintance, police said Monday afternoon.Detectives were
still investigating the incident, and did not have any additional
information to release, Belleville Police Capt. Don Sax stated in a
news release. "She appears to be in good health," Sax stated.

work or contact anyone after she left.
