SPRING BRANCH TX - Two
sisters, high school students in Texas, have been missing since running
away from home almost two weeks ago, family members said.

becoming involved in a dark form of Internet role-playing.

Anne Fitch of Spring Branch, Texas, told reporters,
her daughters took all the money from their bank accounts
before they left and took passports, Social Security cards and medical
and school records with them. They also turned off their cellphones.
Family members say Elsa Fitch, 16, and Celia Fitch, 15, had been
involved in a role-playing witchcraft games on the Internet with a
California woman. The woman has said the girls have been in touch with her,
but she does not know where they are.
"It's just been a nightmare and it's lasting so long," Anne Fitch said. "We are so worried about them."
The sisters told friends they were planning to leave home, saying in
some cases they were headed for California and in others for Florida,
the report said.

The parents of two Spring Branch teenagers
missing since Feb. 11 are holding out hope and said the girls have
spoken to investigators but won’t say where they are.

Sisters
Celia and Elsa Fitch, ages 16 and 15, ran away from their home after
going to bed and police say they could be on their way to San Diego,
Calif., to meet a woman they met online through a role-playing game.

The
girls’ mother, Anne Fitch, said Thursday that the girls last spoke to
Comal County Sheriff’s investigators over the phone March 7 but would
not say where they are or why they refuse to come home.

Detective
Tommy Ward of the sheriff’s office denied having spoken to the girls
and would not comment on the ongoing investigation.

Anne Fitch said a San Antonio-based private investigator she hired has also not turned up anything yet.

“I’m still hoping the girls come home soon,” Fitch said.

Elsa
started role-playing online about eight years ago, Anne Fitch said, but
would not tell her parents on which Web site. The games soon turned
more private as she started playing with people through chat services,
where Web site administrators couldn’t monitor them, Fitch said.

Elsa
then started calling a San Diego woman who goes by “Tristan” online in
December, racking up phone bills —9,000 minutes talking with her in
December and 11,000 minutes in January, Anne Fitch said.

Fitch said she pays phone bills online and didn’t look at all the minutes those months.

When
Elsa stayed on the computer most of Christmas break and didn’t interact
much with friends and family, Anne said she got worried. Soon after,
she and her husband, Hollis Fitch, took their child’s computer away.

In
a diary Elsa kept from that time, she wrote, “taking away her computer
and all her friends was unacceptable,” Anne Fitch said.

The parents believe the woman gave the girls cell phones and paid for them to be picked up at their Spring Branch home.

The
Fitches are urging residents with any knowledge of the girls’
whereabouts to contact the Comal County Sheriff’s Office at (830)
620-3400. The girls are both about 5-feet 3-inches tall.

Elsa
has blonde hair, while Celia has brown hair. The girls sometimes speak
in British accents and often wear zip-up sweatshirts.

Anne Fitch said the girls were role-playing about shamans, witches and
the occult.


Fitch said the girls ran away from their Spring Branch home when someone
picked up them in a vehicle in the pre-dawn hours on Feb. 12


The spokesman did not specify where the girls were found.
