Milpitas Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating
a missing teenage girl last seen by her family late last month. Juanita Esmeralda Reyes, a 15-year-old Calaveras Hills High School
student, was dropped off at the school at about 8:05 a.m. on Jan. 27.
According to school officials, Reyes did not attend any of her classes
on that date.


She also did not return home after being dropped off for
school, police said. According to Reyes' guardian, who reported the teen missing on Jan. 27,
Reyes has a recent history of running away from home. Her whereabouts
are unknown, however, police say she may have been seen in the area of
Cal Hills, Rose Elementary School and the Great Mall. Reyes is described as a Hispanic female, 15 years old, 5 feet, 4 inches
tall, 110 pounds, with long brown hair possibly in a pony tail, brown
eyes, and was last seen wearing a black and purple jacket and gray

Juanita Esmeralda Reyes, a 15-year-old Calaveras Hills High School
student missing since she was dropped off at school in late January,
was found safe at a friend's home in Milpitas last week, Milpitas
Police Department reported. On Feb. 25, Milpitas police say they located the teen who had been
missing since Jan. 27. Police say they received information that the
missing teen was staying at a former classmate's house in Milpitas. An officer contacted the missing teen at the residence without
incident. Reyes was transported to her home and reunited with her
guardians, police said.
