WALNUT CREEK, CA --- A young woman abducted more than 14 years ago has been found, and her mother is in jail, suspected of the crime.Dean Click told police that his daughter, Jessica Click-Hill, went missing on Sept. 2, 1995. He believed she may have been taken by his wife, Wendy Hill. A warrant was issued for Wendy Hill's arrest in 1996, but she disappeared.The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted law enforcement eight months ago with a tip, saying the young woman, now 22, might be in Monrovia, Los Angeles County.

Police found Jessica Click-Hill, and arrested Wendy Hill. She was booked Thursday morning into County Jail in Martinez. Her bail was set at $250,000.

WALNUT CREEK -- A
22-year-old woman, reportedly abducted by her mother more than 14 years
ago from Walnut Creek, has been located and her mother arrested in Los
Angeles County, police investigators said Thursday.Jessica
Click-Hill was reported missing by her father, Dean Click, on Sept. 2,
1995. He told authorities he believed his wife, Wendy D. Hill, abducted
her.The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office filed
charges against Hill and a warrant was issued for her arrest in 1996.
But authorities said the 52-year-old Hill, who also goes by Gail D.
Jackson, vanished before police could arrest her. In 1997 the FBI
issued a second arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.FBI spokesman Joseph Schadler said it is always unlikely that a child abducted for more than a decade is found."But
just because something is improbable doesn't mean it doesn't happen
from time to time," he said. "That's why we keep looking."About
eight months ago, the National Center for Missing and Exploited
Children contacted the FBI and police with a tip for a possible
location in Monrovia, Los Angeles County, where the mother and daughter
might be found."They are a clearinghouse for people to make tips about missing children," Schadler said of the organization.The
FBI searched that location Tuesday. Agents, working with Walnut Creek
police, arrested Hill on the federal warrant and then contacted Jessica
Click-Hill, whom Schadler said was found at a separate
location.He did not say
whether Jessica lives alone or whether she sees herself as an abduction
victim. Schadler also did not say where the tip that led to Jessica's
discovery and Hill's arrest came from.Hill was booked Thursday
morning into County Jail in Martinez. Her bail was set at $250,000.
Attempts to locate Dean Click for comment late Thursday were
unsuccessful.

The California woman who was found last week after going missing 14
years ago at age 8 has no interest in reuniting with her father, police
said today.
"Jessica is very adamant about not seeing him," Walnut Creek, Calif., police Det. Shawn Wallace said of the woman known as Jessica Click-Hill, 22.
Wallace, whom Dean Click credited with helping find his daughter, was the first to interview the young woman.
Click-Hill was found last week after her mother, Wendy Hill, allegedly
abducted her 14 years ago after a divorce and custody battle with
Click.
Charges have yet to be filed against suspect Hill, who could
not be reached for comment. The Contra Costa Sheriff's Office confirmed
that Hill, who is out on bail, was arrested for Deprivation of Custody
of a Child. Final charges are undetermined.

Redlands woman has pleaded not guilty to charges that she abducted her
8-year-old daughter in Walnut Creek 15 years ago to deprive her
ex-husband of custody of the girl, according to court records.Wendy
Hill, 52, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Contra Costa County Superior
Court to one felony count of "deprivation of custody of child or right
to visitation," a charge that is punishable by up to a year in jail or
up to three years in prison.Walnut Creek police said that in
1995, Hill disappeared with her daughter Jessica Click-Hill, now 22, in
violation of a shared custody order with Click-Hill's father, Dean
Click. Hill was arrested in early March, after a tip to the National
Center for Missing and Exploited Children lead authorities to find
mother and daughter in living in Southern California.Hill is out
of jail custody on $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing date will be set
in April.
