AMY IPPOLITI - 12 yo - Gloversville/Schenectady NY

Gloversville NY ---- Gloversville police are
asking for help in finding a 12-year-old Woodside Avenue girl last seen
about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday entering a wooded area off West Eighth Avenue.

Amy Ippoliti left her home about 2 a.m. that morning, police said,
and was observed at 6:30 a.m. near the woods and ponds of the former
Risedorph Tannery grounds.



Gloversville Police Capt. James Lorenzoni said the department is
giving the case high priority but added it is premature to speculate on
whether the child is a victim of a crime. The woods have been searched.

Ippoliti is described as 5 feet, 1 inch tall and about 100 pounds.
She has brown hair with blond highlights. Anyone with information
has been asked to contact Detective Michael Jory at the department.

I received a PM tonight from a visitor who indicates that she was never missing and just "ran away" to a friend's house.

A missing 12-year-old girl was located at a friend's house,
Gloversville Police announced today.

Amy Ippoliti of Woodside Avenue was staying at a house on Third
Avenue, police said. Police were alerted to her location after issuing a
bulletin Thursday afternoon declaring her missing.

Police said she is in good health and that no "foul play" was
involved in her brief disappearance.

Ippoliti left her own home about 2 a.m. on Tuesday and was last
observed about 6:30 a.m. that day walking into a wooded area off West
Eighth Avenue, police said.

Police attributed her actions to personal and family issues.
