Logan OH ---- The Hocking County Sheriff's Office on
Tuesday issued an alert for an endangered missing child.
While the Sheriff did not issue an Amber Alert, the child is believed to be in danger.
Austin Dunn, 6, is believed to be with his father Robert Dunn and is
believed to be in the central Ohio area, the Sheriff's office said.
Robert Dunn was recently released from prison and has criminal convictions that involved
violence. He does not have custody of his son and failed to return him
to his mother, the Sheriff's office said.
Austin and Robert Dunn are believed to be in the Columbus area, or
possibly in the Pikeville, Ky. area. They could be with family, the sheriff's office said.
Austin Dunn was last seen on Ohio Avenue in Logan, Ohio, around 2 p.m. He is described as white,
3 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 50 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wears glasses.
Robert Dunn, 29, is described as white, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighing 170 pounds.
He has short, brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen driving a 1994 light blue Chevrolet Astro Van with Ohio license plate ESP 1738.

LOGAN, Ohio — An endangered child alert was canceled after a 6-year-old boy was returned to a family member's home late Tuesday night, according to the Hocking County Sheriff's Office.

Austin Dunn was dropped off at his grandmother's house at about 11:30 p.m. He was not harmed, a Hocking County Sheriff's dispatcher said.

An alert was issued for the boy on Tuesday after he was allegedly taken by his father, Robert Dunn.

Robert Dunn, 29, was recently released from prison and has criminal convictions that involved violence. He does not have custody of his son and failed to return him to his mother, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies did not release any details about Robert Dunn or his whereabouts on Wednesday morning.

It was not clear if he was in custody.
