A 13-year-old boy who was last seen at school Monday morning is missing.
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating
Francisco Perez Navarro.
Capt. John Sifford said the child's brother contacted the Sheriff's
Office after he failed to return home Monday.
He was last seen at Southeast Middle School at 6:30 a.m. Monday.
Navarro's family apparently believed he had been attending school
regularly.
Sifford said school officials said he hasn't attended school in the past
three weeks.



Navarro was wearing a green shirt, tan pants and black shoes, carrying a
blue and white backpack.
Sifford said no foul play is suspected.
He has been entered in the national database as missing.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Rowan
County Sheriff's Office at 704-216-8700.

Navarro is 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a
green shirt, tan pants and black shoes. He was carrying a
blue-and-white backpack.

A 13-year-old boy who was missing for a couple of days is back home.

A tip Wednesday led authorities to 13-year-old Francisco Perez Navarro,
who was staying in a van behind a Hispanic store in the China Grove
area.

Capt. John Sifford of the Rowan County Sheriff's Office said the boy
was returned home safe but hungry.

On Monday, the Sheriff's Office had issued an appeal for help from the
public in locating the boy.
