Inventory logs. Hand-written notes by lab technicians. Orange County Sheriff's property forms.Nothing too surprising emerged in the 586 pages of documents released Friday in the murder case against Casey Anthony, the 24-year-old accused of killing her daughter in 2008.The
State Attorney's Office released the material in response to public
records request. Anthony's defense team received the information
earlier from the state.Anthony is charged with first-degree
murder in the death of her 2-year-old, Caylee. She was last seen by her
mother in June 2008. The toddler's remains were found in woods near her
family's east Orange County home six months later on Dec. 11, 2008. Investigators
tested various items seized from the woods, including a child's
blanket, pieces of a t-shirt and duct tape attached to Caylee's skull.A medical examiner ruled Caylee died from a homicide but could not determine how she died.An e-mail between two FBI
lab workers involved getting better photo measurements of the duct tape
found on the skull. Prosecutors wanted to know if it was possible for
tape to cover both the mouth and nose area, FBI's Erin Martin wrote in
the Feb. 6, 2009 e-mail to fellow lab worker. They wanted better measurements in order to do "some computerized re-creation images of the skull w/ tape," Martin wrote.Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Anthony, who remains in the Orange County Jail.In other Anthony-rated news:Orange-Osceola
Chief Judge Belvin Perry set a hearing for June 1 to hear arguments on
the defense's requests to seal jail-visitation logs and to have Perry
reconsidered earlier rulings by the initial judge on the case. Last
month, Orange Circuit Judge Stan Strickland stepped down from the case
after defense attorneys accused him of showing bias by complimenting a
blogger who writes about the case. Staff writer Walter Pacheco contributed to this report.http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/os-casey-anthony-evidence-release-20100521,0,1433577.story
