East Palo Alto CA ---- A 3-year-old girl was abducted by her father late
Sunday night in East Palo Alto and police are asking for the public's
help in finding the child. Samantha Serna Vargas' mother called
police to her home in the 1700 block of Woodland Avenue at about 11:20
p.m. and said her estranged boyfriend, Samantha's biological father, had
taken Samantha after the adults had gotten into a fight, East Palo Alto
police Detective Angel Sanchez said. The father, 29-year-old
Eduardo Vargas, has ties to Redwood City, police said. He drives a dark
blue 1993 Ford Explorer with California license plate No. 4EQN328. The
vehicle has a skull sticker on the rear window. Anyone with
information on the missing child or Vargas is asked to call police at
