"Baby" DURAN - 5 Weeks - Monongalia/Morgantown WV

A Monongalia County judge denies a bond reduction for a man charged
with child abuse in court Monday.
Jesse Duran is charged with child abuse causing injury after his 5-week
old child ended up in Ruby Memorial Hospital with, what doctor's say,
were suspicious injuries.
On Monday, the court decided that Duran's $40,000 bond isn't excessive,
and his motion for reduction was denied.
During an interview with police, Duran admitted to dropping the baby
and squeezing him hard enough to hurt his ribs.
He also claims that he squeezed the child's legs so hard, he heard them
pop.

His case heads to trial in August
