"Toddler John Doe" - 2 yo - Las Cruces NM

A Las Cruces man has been arrested in a
child abuse case involving his girlfriend's young son.
Police say 25-year-old Jason Narvaez was
taken into custody Friday. He's been charged with one first-degree
felony count of intentional child abuse resulting in great bodily harm.
He's being held in the Dona Ana County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
Las Cruces Police were called to Memorial
Medical Center early Friday where a 2-year-old boy was being treated for
a fractured skull. He's now listed in stable condition at University
Medical Center of El Paso.
Police learned that Narvaez was watching the
boy Thursday while his girlfriend was at work. They say Narvaez became
upset when the child would not allow himself to be dressed, picked up
the boy and threw him down a hallway.
