Dropped Baby's Condition Improves July 30, 2010 5:17 PM

The family of an 8-month old girl who was dropped on the floor says she is making great progress.

Hamilton County investigators are still trying to figure out what happened to Trinity Luck. Jason Wandell is engaged to Trinity's mother. He says that as he went to change her diaper last Saturday, she kicked out of his arms and dropped to the floor. She's still at T-C Thompson Children's Hospital. So far, no charges have been filed.

Meanwhile the family says an account has been set up at the Tennessee Valley Credit Union on Trinity's behalf. Food donations are being accepted at the Sav-A-Lot on Middle Valley Rd. and Thrifty Pharmacy is taking donations for her as well.

Wandell Charged In Case In Which Child Suffered Brain Injury
Friday, October 15, 2010

An arrest has been made in connection with an incident on July 17 in which authorities said a child suffered a brain injury.

A report was received by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office that day regarding an injury to a small child that occurred at 1709 Santa Barbara Circle. The injured child was taken first to Erlanger North, but then transferred to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital due to the brain injury.

Evidence pertaining to the investigation was presented to the Hamilton County Grand Jury earlier this week by Detective Brian Ashburn. The Hamilton County Grand Jury returned two indictments for aggravated child abuse and neglect against Jason Wandell.

Wandell has been arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
