Missing 17 year old teen found last night.

(Gadsden, AL - September 17, 2010) Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says missing 17 year old Jennifer Nicole Taylor was found safe Thursday night in Leesburg, Alabama around 8 p.m.Taylor went missing on Tuesday, September 14th at about 10 p.m. from Banks Park in Gadsden.Taylor reportedly saw a news report about her disappearance and contacted her parents, informing them of her whereabouts. Family members called investigators and told them of the girl's location last night.In connection to the disappearance, 19 year old Amber Dawn Maddox of Odenville, Alabama has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing governmental operations, both misdemeanors.Another individual, a 16 year old female from Gadsden is also facing the same charges. helped Taylor run away from home and provided her with shelter, food and transportation. Both individuals gave false statements to investigators about their knowledge of Taylor's whereabouts.Sheriff's investigators questioned Taylor and released her into the custody of her parents last night. Maddox is being held on $2,000 bond in the Etowah County Detention Center.

Two people are in custody and have been charged in connection with the disappearance of a Gadsden girl who was reported missing earlier this week.
Amber Dawn Maddox, 19, Odenville, has been arrested and charged in connection with the disappearance of Jennifer Nicole Taylor, according to a news release from the Etowah County Sheriff’s Department.Investigator Shane Hartley said in the news release that Maddox is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing governmental operations, both of which are misdemeanors.A 16-year-old Gadsden female also has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing governmental operations. Natalie Barton, public information officer for the sheriff’s office, said Taylor was reported missing Tuesday after she didn’t come home that night.The department Thursday afternoon issued a Nixle alert about the missing teen, who last had been seen at Banks Park in Gadsden.Taylor was located at 8 p.m. Thursday in Leesburg. According to the news release, family members gave investigators her whereabouts after the teen contacted her parents after seeing a news report about her disappearance. Maddox and the juvenile reportedly helped Taylor run away from home, providing her with transportation, shelter and food. Both individuals reportedly also gave false statements to investigators about having knowledge of Taylor’s whereabouts.After being interviewed by investigators Thursday night, Taylor was released into her parents’ custody.Maddox is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,000 bond. The juvenile is in custody at Coosa Valley Detention Center in Anniston.
