A 27-year-old Henderson man was arrested Thursday after a teenager missing for more than a year was found in his home.The Henderson Police Department charged Joshua Guthrie, 400 block of 12th Street, with a felony charge of custodial interference, after Jamie Lee Owen, 17, was found hiding in the closet in his home.Owen has been missing since the night of Sept. 1, 2009, when she was last seen by her parents at their residence, authorities said.Detective Brad Newman, said officers have been searching for her for the last year.As part of the investigation, Newman said detectives have interviewed Guthrie, Owen’s boyfriend, in the past and were given misleading information.On Thursday, detectives decided to interview Guthrie again.Newman said they went to Guthrie’s residence and when questioned, Guthrie said that Owen was there.After searching the residence, Owen was found hiding in a closet.Police charged Guthrie with custodial interference, and Owen was placed in the custody of social services.Guthrie was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.

The police department is hoping the public might have some information on the girl’s whereabouts.Owen, who sometimes uses the alias Jamie Guthrie, is described as a white female, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is about 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a medium build.
