KOREY DAULT - 5 yo - Alpena MI

Michigan State Police have issued an amber alert for a 5 year-old boy from Alpena. Korey Jean Dault was last seen Friday night at his home on Fern Lane. Korey is 4' tall, weighs about 50 pounds and has blue eyes, and sandy colored hair. He was last seen wearing a green & white t-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes with a black design and a velcro strap. Korey has a severe mental and physical disability. Anyone who's seen Korey should contact police immediately

Police Search For Missing Youth

Presque Isle Sheriff Deputies and State Police assisted by various agencies are searching for a 5 year old Alpena boy.

The youth who lives on Fern lane In Alpena was visiting his grandmother and was last seen at about 6 P.M. Friday on East Grand Lake Highway, in an area between US-23 and Rayburn Highway. Korey Jean Dault is described as being 4 foot tall, 45 or 50 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a green and white type dye shirt, white sneakers with a black design and velcro strap.

State Police K-9 teams from Sault St. Marie, Bay City and Rockford along with Thunder Bay Area Firefighters Search And Rescue, Citizens Emergency Response Team and Salvation Army are all assisting.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Korey Jean Dault is asked to contact the Presque Isle Sheriff Department (734-2156) or Alpena State Police Post (354-4101).

The investigation is on into the death of a five year old boy in Presque Isle County.
State Police in Alpena say Presque Isle County Central Dispatch received a report that Kory Dault was missing from his home in Presque Isle township shortly before 7:30 Friday night.
The Sheriff's Department began a search, an Amber Alert was issued, and police, fire, E.M.S., and civilian search teams responded from all over northern Michigan.
The missing child was not found.
Then at seven a.m. Saturday morning the body of Kory Dault was found in a septic tank at his home.
An autopsy will be performed Monday.
The cause of the boy's death is still unknown.

PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY -- Michigan State Police say the autopsy on 5-year-old Kory Dault shows no obvious signs of injuries or trauma to the body.Police say while this does not necessarily rule out the possibility of foul play, investigators say Dault's death appears to be the result of a very tragic accident.
