An Apple Valley man is accused of breaking his 2-month-old son's right arm and legs last month, according to a Dakota County criminal complaint. Nathan Allyn Edgeton, 30, was released Monday from the Dakota County Jail in Hastings after posting $20,000 bail. He was charged with two felony counts of malicious punishment of a child and one felony charge of neglect or child endangerment. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison for each charge.Apple Valley police were contacted when emergency room staff at a St. Paul hospital spotted a number of injuries on the infant, according to the criminal complaint filed in Dakota County District Court. Along with the injuries to his son's arm and legs, the infant had a dent in his head the size of a thumb.Edgeton told investigators he fractured his son's right arm Nov. 19 while struggling to dress him, the complaint said. He also told them a remote control fell from his hand earlier in the week and hit the baby in the head, causing the dent. He also said that when he tried to pick up the remote, the baby fell from his arms, onto the remote on the floor. As for the leg injuries, Edgeton told police he fractured them by holding the baby upside down, by the feet, and swinging him back and forth, which a chiropractor told him to do to stretch the child, the complaint said. He also admitted to bruising the baby's cheek by cupping his hand around the child's mouth, "squeezing relatively hard" to keep a pacifier in his mouth.
The baby also lives with his mother, who told police she had no explanations for his injuries, the complaint said. But a month ago, she said she left the child alone in his father's care and saw bruising on the baby's left cheek when she returned.Edgeton could not be reached for comment Tuesday. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 14.

OMG I don't know who I hate more!- the evil father who broke & 'dented' his newborn or the disgusting mother who sat back & let it happen! They should both rot in jail-
