Amber Alert Issued For 2 Pickens Co. Children
Authorities: Suspect Vehicle Is 1996 Red Honda Civic With SC Plate 8850EH

EASLEY, S.C. -- Authorities in Pickens County said an Amber Alert has been issued for two children who were taken from a mobile home on Old Easley Bridge Road on Wednesday.
Pickens County sheriff's deputies said 2-year-old Alexis London Marie Manley, and 1-year-old Kynadi Leigh Grace Manley were taken at 6:46 a.m.
Investigators said they have identified the mother of the children -- 20-year-old Keyly Martay Wade -- as a suspect. Deputies said the children's maternal grandmother, 48-year-old Belinda Hildebrant, is listed as a person of interest.
Authorities said another family member has custody of the children.
According to a police report, the family member who has custody allowed another family member to take the children for the night. Deputies said Wade and the grandmother took the children from the home where they were spending the night.
Wade was described as being about 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 200 pounds, with blonde shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. Deputies said she has "Keyly" tattooed on her back.
Deputies said Wade and Hildebrant may be driving a 1996 red Honda Civic with South Carolina plate 8850EH. The car was said to have tinted windows, a missing hubcap on the rear passenger side and a dent on the driver's side of the hood.
According to investigators, Alexis London Marie was last seen wearing green pajamas with a monkey print, and Kynadi Leigh Grace was wearing pink pajama with turtles.

The AMBER Alert for two missing Pickens girls has been cancelled.

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office has charged the Aunt of two missing girls with filing a false report. The Sheriff's Office says Lisa Jordan told them 1 year old Kynadi Leigh Grace Manley and 2 year old Alexis London Marie Manley were kidnapped from her home.
Investigators say Jordan told them she put the children to bed around 9 last night and the Sheriff's Office received the call around 6:56 this morning.

Detectives say after investigating they determined Jordan had filed a false report related to the burglary, kidnapping and car theft. Warrants have been issued charging Jordan with four felony counts of filing a false report.

Investigators are continuing to work with out of state authorities to determine the location and well being of the children. Investigators believe the children may be with their mother Keyly Wade and their grandmother Belinda Marie Wade.
The children are not believed to be in any danger, authorities tell News Channel 7.


So, is there an Amber alert or not?? Hope they find these babies and place them with non-family members, seems the family is nothing but slugs, need to crawl back under the rock they left.

Investigators believe the children may be with their mother, Keyly Wade, and their grandmother, Belinda Marie Wade.
News 4 talked to Wade’s sister, Elisha, Wednesday evening. Elisha Wade said she texted her mother Wednesday afternoon asking, “We just want 2 know if you and the girls are ok.” Elisha said she got the response of “Yes.”
Family friend Hope Scott said that text helped family members feel better, even though the children still haven’t been located.
"That's how we know they're OK. They're just not telling us where they're at and that's fine with us, as long as they're letting us know they're OK," said Scott.
Deputies said Wade and Jordan “plotted a scheme” to allow Wade to take the children and leave the state to avoid a Department of Social Services investigation.
Scott said Wade was worried about losing her children and Jordan may have wanted to help.
"(Jordan) was scared. She didn't know if she was right or wrong. She didn't know what to do. Once she realized she went along with a plan, maybe she had second thoughts about it and decided, 'Well, maybe I shouldn't have done that,'" said Scott.
Pickens County Assistant Sheriff Tim Morgan said the AMBER Alert was canceled because the children aren’t believed to be in danger.
"Right now, we want to make sure (the children are) with the mother and grandmother, they're in a safe environment, but it doesn't rise to the level of maintaining an AMBER Alert. We have nothing to show the children are in danger. We just have to ensure they're in a safe location," said Morgan.

Jordan is expected to have a bond hearing in Pickens County on Thursday morning.

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office says the Bazetta Police Department in Ohio got a tip that the family was seen at the Walmart there.
They were spotted by officers in the parking lot. The children were taken into custody and turned over to Ohio Family Services.
The mother and grandmother of the children were not questioned or arrested. No charges have been filed.
Deputies say the mother and grandmother continued to wherever they were staying in Ohio.
The Pickens County Sheriff's Office is working with Anderson DSS and Ohio Family Services to get the children back home.

Lt. JB Kelly with the Pickens County Sheriff's office says the four children reported missing Wednesday have been found.
Law enforcement officers picked them up in Bazetta, OH, and officers report everyone is fine.
The children are being sent to family services in Ohio.
No one has been charged at this point.

Amber Alert Worked But Was False Alarm

New details in the case of two children located in Trumbull county after an amber alert was issued out of South Carolina. Turns out while the system worked, it was technically a false alarm.

An alert man recognized a South Carolina vehicle in the Bazetta WalMart parking lot yesterday; inside were 1- and 2-year-old girls reported missing by their aunt. Turns out they were with their mother and grandmother.

The two have not been charged yet, however the aunt has been charged and is in jail on $18,000 bond for filing a false report. Police allege that the aunt and mother were involved in a plot to keep the children from being taken by Social Services in South Carolina.

The children are spending Christmas in the custody of Children's services here in Ohio.

Bazetta Township Police will have no further involvement in the case
of a false Amber Alert issued out of South Carolina on Wednesday. The
two girls, age 1 and 2, were found in Bazetta and are spending Christmas
in the care of Trumbull County Children Services.

The Amber Alert was issued by the girls’ aunt, Lisa Jordan, who is
being held in South Carolina on $16,000 bond, charged with making false
police reports. She had told police the children’s mother had taken them
and also stolen Jordan’s car.

Although the aunt is the children’s legal guardian, it was determined
that the mother was not legally restricted from having the children.
Detective Joe Sofchek said the department received an anonymous call
Thursday saying that a red Honda Civic with South Carolina license
plates had been spotted at a Bazetta Walmart.
“When we got there, they were backing out of the space,” Sofchek said. “Thirty more seconds and we would have missed them.”

The two girls were in the car with their mother and grandmother and a
male from Warren whose relationship to the family was unclear. He was
questioned and released.

“Then just like an angel, he disappeared,” Sofchek said. “We never saw him after that.”

Sofchek said Bazetta police will not take further action in the case,
which is being handed over to Pickens County Sheriff’s Department.

“Why they were coming back here or what they were doing, we have no
idea,” Sofchek said, adding that the girls were taken by Trumbull County
Children Services, and the mother and grandmother were free to go.

“They asked me how to get back to South Carolina,” Sofchek said.

SC toddlers safe, happy after ordeal in Valley

Two little girls from Pickens County, S.C., caught up in a custody case and a false Amber Alert, spent Christmas with a foster family after Bazetta police took them to Trumbull County Children Services Board last week.
Nick Kerosky, CSB executive director, said the girls, Kynadi Manley, 1, and Alexis Manley, 2, seemed to be “right at home” with the two Trumbull County foster parents who have cared for them since Thursday.
“They had a great Christmas,” Kerosky said, adding that the agency had dolls and other gifts and clothing to give the girls, as well as the gifts their mother gave Bazetta police for them at the time police took them into their care.
“The kids made themselves right at home. They’re safe, they’re happy, they’re comfortable,” Kerosky said, adding that they were eating well and not crying.
“They love to be held, love to receive attention,” Kerosky said. “They showed no fear of our folks.”
CSB will resume discussions Wednesday with the family court in Anderson County, S.C., which will determine whom the girls will live with when they return to South Carolina, Kerosky said. The court is closed the first two days this week, Kerosky said.
Kerosky said he expects the girls to return to South Carolina later this week.
One of the girls’ aunts, Lisa Ann Jordan, 40, of Easley, S.C., was charged last week in Easley with four counts of making a false police report, all felonies.

PICKENS COUNTY —
Two young sisters who were the subject of an Amber alert this month will soon be brought from Ohio back to South Carolina.

Alexis Manley, 2, and 1-year-old Kynadi Manley were turned over to
child-welfare officials in Ohio on Dec. 23. The girls had been in a car
with their mother, Keyly Wade, and grandmother, Belinda Wade, when
police stopped them at a Walmart store.

Both girls were listed as missing when an Amber alert was issued on
the morning of Dec. 22. The alert was canceled a few hours later when
Pickens County authorities charged the girls’ aunt, Lisa Jordan of
Easley, with filing false police reports.

Even though the Amber alert had already been canceled, Ohio
authorities decided to care for Alexis and Kynadi because of concerns
about their safety, said Nick Kerosky, director of the Trumbell County
Children Services Board in Warren, Ohio.

“The kids are safe — we have them,” said Kerosky in an interview this
week. “We are making arrangements to get them back to South Carolina.”

A spokeswoman from the South Carolina Department of Social Services
said one of the agency’s staff members will go to Ohio and accompany the
girls back to the Upstate. Once they return, Alexis and Kynadi will be
placed in foster care.

Keyly and Belinda Wade drove back to South Carolina after being

Poor wee things. Family too useless to care for them and now they're going to their 2nd foster home and there will no doubt be many more. I hope they will be loved by somebody.
