Mother faces neglect charge for leaving children home alone

FORT WALTON BEACH -- A mother of four has been charged with child
neglect for leaving four children without supervision on Nov. 15.
The oldest of the children is 8, while the youngest is 11 months,
according to the mother's Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest
report.
The 28-year-old woman initially told deputies she had left the
children with another woman, who must have departed and left the
children unattended.
Two of the three children told deputies the other woman had not been
there all evening. The 8-year-old repeated the mother's story.
The mother later admitted she was lying. She was arrested Dec. 28 and charged with felony child neglect.
