BRENNA LUVIANO - 16 yo - Colorado Springs - CO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A family is
searching for a 16-year-old girl missing for almost two weeks. Brenna
Luviano's parents said she ran away from home without warning on Monday,
Jan. 17. They said she took off with their gun, several boxes of
ammunition and some knives."I am totally shocked by that," said
Tammy Luviano, Brenna's mother. "She had even said at one time that she
didn't like having a gun in the house."She said the family had
the gun for protection and kept it locked up. Luviano and her husband
are worried Brenna might be staying with gang members who urged her to
take it. The couple said they've been sick with worry."I haven't been sleeping and eating very little," said Luviano.She
said Brenna left their home two weeks ago while they were at a church
function. Since then, the couple has been handing out fliers all over
Colorado Springs. They said a few people recognized their daughter, but
so far none of the leads have brought her home.Luviano said her
daughter has had a rough time coping with the death of her older brother
Paul. He died of leukemia four years ago."She was one of the happiest kids you would see, then she got so angry and so hurt," she said.She
said Brenna ran away more than a year ago, but came home after a few
days. Her parents said that time, her friends were able to give them
information. Now, they've heard nothing."We miss her and we're scared for her," said Brenna's father Paul. "We already lost our son. We don't want to lose her."Brenna's
friends call her "Blazer." She's 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighs 165
pounds. She has black hair, but she may have dyed it. Anyone who thinks

according to the girl's father.Erica Luviano, the sister of
16-year-old Brenna Luviano, said Brenna ran away Jan. 17. The family
notified Colorado Springs police that night, but they have been unable
to find her.Brenna's father Paul said she took his gun, as well
as four boxes of ammunition and several knives, when she ran away two
weeks ago. Paul said he is worried she may have taken the gun as part of
a plan to join a gang.Erica said someone thought they saw Brenna at Memorial Park Saturday, but nobody could confirm it.According to Paul, Brenna has 'not been well lately' after dealing with the death of her brother. Paul Luviano Jr. died of leukemia April 28, 2006 at the age of 23. Paul Jr. was a military veteran who served in Germany while waiting to be deployed to Iraq.Paul said Brenna had run away in the past, but never for more than a few days.Brenna
also goes by 'Blazer.' She is 5'7" and weighs 165 pounds with brown
eyes and dark hair. Anyone who thinks they may have seen Brenna should contact police.

Woke up @ 4, left at 630, stopped twice and I made it safely to Colorado Springs! I'm tired and hungry!! But seeing Brenna and giving her a hug, so worth it!!
