The Jones County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help in finding a missing 13-year-old.
They say Matthew Pritchett walked away Wednesday from classes at Clifton Ridge Middle School.
He has brown hair and he's about 5-foot-5 and 120 pounds.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Office is asking
for the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old boy who apparently
walked out of Clifton Ridge Middle School on Wednesday morning.According
to sheriff’s officials, Matthew Pritchett walked out of the school
about 10:30 a.m. Sheriff’s officials were notified immediately, and
deputies searched the area around the school but couldn’t find him.
It’s unknown if Pritchett got into a vehicle once he walked out. Officials
said Pritchett told some classmates he wanted to go to see his
grandparents in Twiggs County, but as of Wednesday evening, there was
still no word of his whereabouts.Pritchett is described as a
white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 120 pounds. He was last seen
wearing a red jacket and blue jeans.Anyone with information is

UPDATE: Missing Jones County boy hid in woods

A missing Jones County boy returned home safely Wednesday night, according to the Jones County Sheriff's Office.Matthew
Pritchett, 13, walked out of Clifton Ridge Middle School about 10:30
a.m. and showed up at home about 12 hours later.

Jones County school resource officer, Sgt. Robby Walker, said
Pritchett was hiding in woods near the school and walked about a
half-mile home.Deputies and canine units searched the area around the school for about three hours but couldn’t find him, Walker said.Officials said Pritchett told some classmates he wanted to go to see his grandparents in Twiggs County.
