LASHIBA JOY BERRY - 2 yo - Los Angeles CA
Police asked for the public's help Thursday locating a missing child in the Los Angeles area.
Lashiba Joy Berry, 2, went missing Thursday when a woman taking care of her left with the girl. Police are looking for Tamara Moore, a family friend, as a person of interest in Berry's disappearance.
In a Thursday afternoon news conference, the LAPD said Moore was caring
for Berry and her 2-month-old brother in the family's RV while Berry's
father ran an errand Wednesday. When the father, Larry Berry, returned
about 30 minutes later, he found Moore and the girl were gone and the
baby unattended. The RV was parked in the area of 70th St. and
Grand Ave. Moore is known to frequent the area of 103rd and Figueroa
streets and 109th St. Western Blvd. Police said the father is not involved in the disappearance. Police said they don't believe Lashiba Berry is in danger, and it was expected Moore would eventually return with the girl. Lashiba Berry is described as a 2-year-old black female, about 3 feet
tall and weighing about 45 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Tamara Moore is described as an 18-year-old black female with black
hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about
140 pounds. Tamara has tattoos under each eye and the name "William" on
the back of her neck. If you have information related to the case, you're asked to call the LAPD at (877) LAPD-247.
