Pima County deputies search for missing teen, man





A 13-year-old Vail student is missing and deputies believe she
is with a man she met on the Internet.

Ashley Marie Kingsbury was last seen at home Monday and the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children put out an alert
Tuesday saying she may still be in the area in a 2000 silver
Hyundai Elantra with a Utah license plate.

Pima County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for Kingsbury and
believe she is with a 19-year-old man, said Deputy Jason Ogan, a
department spokesman.

The two had met on a networking website and had planned to meet
Monday, Ogan said. Kingsbury and the 19-year-old man have not been
seen since, he said.

Kingsbury has brown hair and hazel eyes, she’s about 95 pounds
and 5-foot-2 inches tall.

U.S. Marshalls and FBI agents are assisting in the search.

The car’s license plate is Z754UV.

• TUCSON - PCSO is looking for help to bring home a 13-year-old girl
  

who went missing, and may be traveling with a 19-year-old man she met on
a social networking site.
Ashley Kingsbury was last seen at her house in Vail on Monday at about 1 p.m at the 13400 block of East Ace High.
Her family says Ashley developed a friendship with Jordan Anthony, a
19-year-old Utah man, on a social networking site. PCSO believes they
may be traveling together.
Kingsbury is described as 5'2" tall and about 95 pounds in weight,
sheriff's officials say. Jordan Anthony is described as an Asian man,
about 6'1" tall, weighing about 140 pounds with brown hair and brown
eyes.
Sheriff's officials say the associated vehicle is a silver 2000 Hyundai Elantra with Utah plate Z754UV.

Radio Amber Child Alert Issued
Authorities are looking for a missing 13 year old girl, Ashley Marie
Kingsbury. She met a 19 year old man on a networking website. They
arranged to meet in person on Monday, March 14th, 2011.
No Amber Alert has been issued, but Ashley is considered
endangered missing. She was last seen in the area of Old Vale Road &
Collosal Cave Road in Tucson, Arizona on Monday afternoon.
She is believed to be traveling with 19-year-old Jordan Anthony.
Albert Kingsbury, the girls father, arrived home about 4 p.m. Monday
and found signs of a struggle in Ashley’s room. He discovered she had a
secret Facebook account, and she considered Anthony to be her
boyfriend.
According to reports the FBI removed bedding and broken glass from Ashley’s room, in addition to dusting for fingerprints.

A new case report released by the Pima County Sheriff's Department
sheds some light on a missing Vail teen.
Thirteen-year-old Ashley Kingsbury has been missing since Monday.
Officials believe she is with 19-year-old Jordan Anthony from Utah.
The report details an online relationship between the two happening
for about a year. Officials say through text messages, they agreed to meet.

But Ashley's family believes she was taken against her will,
and authorities are aggressively searching for her.
"There's nothing to guarantee that this wasn't an abduction short of
finding this young girl. When we find this young lady and this young
man, we'll be able to sort it out and we'll know better then as to what
really occurred here," Captain Chris Nanos with the Pima Co. Sheriff's Department said.
Captian Nanos said the two were last tracked in Texas. They are
believed to be traveling in a silver 2000 Hyundai Elantra with Utah

Woman says suspect with missing Vail girl harassed her daughter




TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - A Utah woman says the suspect linked to a missing Vail girl harassed her 15-year-old daughter.
Felicity Wilkey says a man left threatening messages on her daughter's voicemail after the daughter refused to go out with him.
"My daughter had told him no. She explained
'I'm 15, you're 19. I don't want to date you. And don't ever text me or
call me again.' "
"Then the next thing we know it's the voice
mail and it almost felt to me he was flipping it a bit; calling her
names, 'Don't contact me, I don't want to talk to you,' the B-word, and
on and on."
19-year old Anthony Jordan of Utah is
believed to be with 13-year-old Ashley Kingsbury from Vail. She has not
been seen since Monday.
Authorities think Ashley is with Jordan, whom she met on Facebook.
The two are believed to be traveling in a 2000 silver Hyundai Elantra with licence plate number Z754UV.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office announced that 13-year-old Ashley Kingsbury has been found in Texas.
On March 18, 2011, at approximately 1:00
a.m., Ashley Kingsbury and Anthony Jordan were located in Texas. A bank
teller in Galveston recognized them and contacted the Pima County
Sheriff's Department. Galveston Police conducted a search and located
them together on a local beach.
Kingsbury disappeared Monday. Authorities initially believed she and Anthony were headed to Utah.
Both are in the custody of the Galveston Police. Charges are pending and the investigation continues.

Now 14-year-old Ashley Kingsbury
disappeared on March 14th. Her parents were torn apart by the news and
pleaded for her to return.

"It's the most horrible thing ever
to go through and I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through it,"
Carrie Kingsbury, Ashley's mom, said earlier this week.

On Friday they received the good
news their daughter was found safe on a beach in Galveston Texas. Ashley
was with 19-year-old Anthony Jordan. The pair went into a bank and a
teller noticed something suspicious.

Jason Ogan of the Pima County Sheriff's Office describes what happened.

"From the little information I was
given she just thought something was not right with the two who came in
the bank and thought, hey I'm going to go ahead and look up both their
names," Ogan said.

A quick online search turned up the
story of the missing girl. That teller then called Pima County Deputies
who notified Galveston Police. Detectives searched the area for the
teens and eventually found them on a beach. They were both taken into
custody. Ogan tells KGUN9 News what comes next.

"She's going to get interviewed by
the children's advocacy center down there, he's also going to be
interviewed. Once we determine what exactly happened they're going to
take the notes compare them up and see. Was this consensual, did it ever
turn not consensual," Ogan said.

Consensual or not, Jordan is being
charged with a felony charge of custodial interference which can carry a
maximum sentence of almost nine years in prison. If the interviews turn
up new evidence deputies tell us they could charge Jordan with other
crimes as well.

We went back to the Kingsbury
home but the family wasn't home. Deputies tell KGUN9 News they
are likely already in Texas being reunited with their daughter.

Vail Unified School District officials say that some of the
communication between 14-year-old Ashley Kingsbury and 19-year-old
Jordan Anthony was through her school email account.

News 4 Tucson wanted to find out the policy on how the school monitors student internet usage.
Vail Superintendent Calvin Baker says that every school in their
district has different guidelines, but he says they do block social
networking sites and can search through student online activity if
needed.

But Baker stresses that the surveillance of students really needs to start in the home.
"While it's not the school's responsibility to be checking every
student's pocket and rifling through their backpack, it certainly is a
parent's right and responsibility to do that," Baker said.
He says that they do teach internet safety, and urge parents to do that same.
