ORLANDO, Fla. -- A judge has rejected defense efforts to toss taped jailhouse conversations between family members and a Florida mom accused of killing her daughter.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. She has pleaded not guilty and says Caylee was kidnapped by a baby sitter. Her trial is set to begin in May.

Circuit Judge Belvin Perry ruled Friday that Anthony's parents were not acting as agents of detectives when they tried to coax information from her about where the missing toddler might be.
