Police ask for help to locate missing girl

The Ottawa Police Service is requesting assistance in locating Angela Horrigan. She did not return from her west end school on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011.

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 15 year-old girl.

Angela Horrigan did not return from her west end school on Friday.

Horrigan has run away in the past, but police and family want to locate her as soon as possible for personal reasons.

She is described five-foot-three inches, 120 pounds, medium length blond hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown bomber jacket with a large logo of a gold cat on the back, navy blue sweat pants with a Kanata Academy crest on the front and white running shoes.

A 15-year-old Ottawa girl who was last seen leaving school on Friday was found in good health by police Sunday night.

Ottawa police issued a plea asking for the public's help locating Angela Horrigan over the weekend.

She has a history of not returning home. However, police said that officers and her guardian were anxious to find her for "personal reasons."

Police thank the public for their help.
