Judge rejects Casey Anthony's defense's second attempts

ORLANDO -- New decisions in the case against Casey Anthony.

Chief Judge Belvin Perry has denied Casey's defense's second attempt to have trunk stain evidence thrown out.

Perry also ruled the state's expert botanist will be allowed to testify during the trial. Casey's defense didnt want him to take the stand.

A status hearing has been set for Monday, May 2 at 9:40 a.m.

The trial is expected to begin May 17.
