child who went missing from Ghatkopar on October 23 was finally found at Kankavli railway station on Wednesday. Police officials said that although the kidnapper was not yet nabbed, they would eventually succeed in getting to the culprit.
Aditya Gavde was lost after his mother Lalitha (40) decided to leave her son outside a public toilet at Indira Nagar, where she had gone to answer the call of nature. When Lalitha came out of the toilet after 10 minutes, there was no sign of her son Aditya.
"We eventually found the kid on the railway station. Despite asking him where he was and who kidnapped him he's unable to say anything more than 'kaka'. But we'll soon make headway in the case and nab the culprit," said Uttam Kolekar, police inspector of the Ghatkopar police station. "Newspapers had advertised the child's photographs and that helped as the child was identified. So the person who had kidnapped him got scared, left the child and ran away," he added.
