CANADA • Vincent Denis FRIGON, 18 (deceased) ~ Barrhead AB
May 01, 2011 - Family and friends of Vincent Denis Frigon are searching a forested area north west of Barrhead this weekend after the 18-year-old went missing during a party.
Family members tell CTV News the boy was at a party Friday night when he disappeared early Saturday morning. Friends at the party say Frigon walked into the bush around 2:30 a.m. and wasn't heard from ever since.
Frigon did have a cell phone but RCMP say there was no signal on it after 3 a.m.
Three Search and Rescue teams along with about 40 volunteers are combing the area on foot, ATV's and in trucks this weekend. A helicopter was brought in Saturday night and will be used again Sunday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Barrhead RCMP at 780-674-4848

Devastating end in search for missing teen
May 01, 2011
The search for a missing 18-year-old Barrhead teen has come to an end as RCMP confirmed the young man's body has been found Sunday afternoon.
Family and friends along with three Search and Rescue teams were looking for Vincent Denis Frigon after he disappeared early Saturday morning.
Family members tell CTV Edmonton that Frigon was at a campfire party Friday night at a remote location north west of Barrhead.
Friends say Frigon got up to leave at 2:30 a.m. and walked down a gravel road. They believed he was going to walk home, but he never showed up.
"He was seen walking north from the residence but hasn't been seen since," said Cpl, Darryl Lutz. "He had been consuming alcohol, but we are not sure of the amount."
By Sunday afternoon, more than 40 volunteers helped comb the area on foot, ATV's and in trucks. A helicopter was also brought in to help with the search.

went missing early Saturday morning.
"Your heart just breaks for the family," said Leah Pierunek, search volunteer. "You just want to do what ever you can. It could be anyone's child."
Frigon, a local hockey player and referee, has never been missing before. Like many teens, Frigon is said to have always had his cell phone near but police say that was of no help in this situation.
"There has been no usage on it," said Cpl. Lutz. "We haven't been able to contact him on it."
By early afternoon, the search was called off. RCMP says Frigon's body was found near a gravel road, about 10 kilometres from where the party was.
Police would not comment on the condition of the body but have ruled out suicide.
