More Potential Jurors Brought In For Anthony Trial

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The second day of jury selection has began in Casey Anthony's first-degree murder trial, but attorneys have asked to have their microphones shut off.

Chief Judge Belvin Perry began Tuesday's proceedings at Pinellas County Courthouse by calling people from the original panel of about 110 potential jurors who were brought in on Monday. Those not dismissed due to anticipated hardships of serving jury duty for almost two months will be brought back later this week for further questioning.
An additional 50 potential jurors will be called for initial questioning Tuesday afternoon.
Attorneys asked that the microphones at their desks be turned off Tuesday, saying that their private conversations could be overheard via Internet livestreams on Monday.
