Air-sample science will be allowed — or will it?
Defense objects to Judge Perry's ruling early in the day allowing the air sample science; judge wants to do more research, settle the issue Wednesday.

Testimony about the air samples taken from Casey Anthony's trunk that showed signs consistent with decomposition will be allowed to be presented by the prosecution in her first-degree murder trial, Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry ruled Monday.
Prosecutors want to use novel scientific work focusing on odor and air samples originating from the trunk of Anthony's Pontiac Sunfire — an emerging science never before heard at trial.
Anthony's defense team had argued that testimony about the air samples shouldn't be admitted, and it wanted to exclude testimony related to air, carpet or paper towel samples tested by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.
