CANADA • Daniel LINZ, 17 (deceased) ~ Enderby BC
May 30, 2011 - Search and rescue teams in Enderby are searching for a missing 17-year-old man who was last seen in Riverside Park.
Daniel Lynz of Enderby has not been seen or heard from since late Friday night.
Daniel Lynz of Enderby was hanging out with friends at the park late Friday night.
They left the park later that night but for unknown reasons, Daniel decided to stay behind.
No one has seen or heard from him since.
Reserve Constable Steve Scott says it is unusual for the teen to vanish.
RCMP got involved with the search Saturday around 3 pm.
Search and rescue teams joined them around 5 pm but the search was called off at 10 pm after it became too dangerous for crews to be at the river in the dark.
Crews resumed the search Sunday morning by sky and by boat.
Rescuers scoured the shoreline of the Shuswap River, which borders Riverside Park, looking for signs of the teen.
Officials say since they do not know where Daniel ended up, they have to consider all possibilities.
Daniel is described as 5'8" to 5'10" and around 120 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt, black skinny jeans and black skate shoes.
Anyone who has seen or heard from Daniel since Friday night is asked to call Enderby RCMP.
Search and rescue members were also out on Sunday near Cherrville and Goldpanner Cafe to look for a man who went missing in the water last weekend.

Daniel Linz: found, deceased
Body in Shuswap River identified as missing teen
Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP, in conjuction with the coroners office, has confirmed the body pulled from the Shuswap River last weekend is that of a missing Enderby teenager.
The Coroners Service, working with a forensic odontologist, advised they have made a positive identification of Daniel Linz, 17.
Linz had been at Riverside Park in Enderby with friends during the evening of May 27, three days after his 17th birthday. He was reported missing the next morning when he failed to come home.
His family returned to the park the next day and found his hoodie, toque and backpack near a picnic table close to the river.
Vernon Search and Rescue personnel discovered the body just below the water surface, tangled in some branches, about three kilometres downstream from the park.
The coroner has ruled the case as a drowning.
