Casey Anthony: How wise would it be to have her testify?

Will Casey Anthony take the stand in her murder trial?
Nancy Grace doesn’t think so, and she said so this morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
“We may very well see them not put her on the stand and just drop the whole molestation theory,” Grace said. ”If they put her on the stand, what’s going to happen, it’s only going to get worse, if they start cross examining her. You saw what happened with the police. Let me remind you, after she gave that statement full of detailed lies, she had to raise her hand and swear that was the truth. And she did it.”
ABC’s Dan Abrams seemed incredulous at the suggestion that the defense might drop the molestation allegations after the “huge opening statement.” (Have you noticed that Grace is more effective when she is paired with a strong personality like Abrams?)
But Grace said she thinks the defense team is rethinking its opening statement and reconfiguring its approach based on what the prosecution brings in. “They [the defense] may go back and focus on accident,” Grace said.
Anthony’s ability to lie was a recurring theme on local newscasts Wednesday. “Web of lies,” WKMG-Channel 6 headlined its Anthony coverage. “The lies came early and often,” WKMG’s Tony Pipitone noted, highlighting comments she wrote and spoke. She is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
WESH-Channel 2 anchor Jim Payne said of Anthony, “Not only is she a liar, but she’s a really good liar.”
WFTV-Channel 9’s Kathi Belich described “how easily Casey can lie” about topics by offering “lies [that] are so detailed, so easy flowing and off the cuff.”
Do you think that Casey Anthony will take the stand? Should she?
