Steven Hanson from the Orange County Medical Examiners office was on the stand. He went through the pictures he took at the crime scene.

He is the one who moved the log off the skull.

He stated that he picked up the skull and took the parts around and under the skull so he would not disturb it. He also collected the trash and white bag, the skull, and shorts. He turned them over to Dr. Gary Utz.

Defense:
Looked at the picture with a machete and an arrow. does not know who put that there. Hanson is the one who moved the log off the skull, but it was photographed before it was moved. He did not find a 2×6 or white piece of wood at the scene. If he did her would have taken photos of it.

Dr. Gary Utz is on the stand. He is the one that Dr. Hanson brought the evidence of the remains to at the Medical Examiners office. He states there were roots in the skull and through the eye sockets. He learned about the skull being found by Dr. G who was getting ready to leave town and Dr. Utz was in doing a deposition that morning, he said it was before noon that he had heard about the remains being found.
