Casey's lawyers want a grief counselor to testify to help jurors understand that there are different ways of dealing with grief.
"I've been doing grief work for several years, and I've seen a lot of grieving individuals, and dishonesty is not one of the things that usually occurs with grief," said Olivia Pitkethly, mental health counselor.
Pitkethly is a practicing mental health counselor in Oviedo.
Her specialty is grief, loss and recovering from severe trauma.
"There is a plethora of emotion that comes along with grief. There is sadness, despair, anger anxiety," Pitkethly said.
