ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Surprises never seem to end in the case against Casey Anthony.
On Tuesday, a new woman was suddenly thrust into the spotlight: April Whalen. She crossed paths briefly with Anthony in jail and has a story that's strikingly similar to Anthony's defense theory.
Whalen's father told WESH 2 News that the family is being forced to relive the sad drowning death of Whalen's son, his grandson. All because Anthony might have heard his daughter -- a one-time fellow inmate at the Orange County jail -- sharing the tragic story. Anthony could have swiped it for her own defense.
