Foreman Says State Failed To Prove How Caylee Died

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Juror No. 11, the elected foreman for the Casey Anthony murder trial jury, says the not-guilty verdict in the trial left him "with a feeling of disgust."

The juror, whose face was obscured and his name not revealed, chose to speak with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren.

The man told Van Susteren that it was the state's failure to prove the cause of Caylee's death that led to the acquittal.

"When I had to sign off on the verdict, the sheet that was given to me -- there was just a feeling of disgust that came over me knowing that my signature and her signature were going to be on the same sheet," the juror said.

Anthony does not sign the verdict sheets, only the foreman does.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A juror in the Casey Anthony case spoke to Fox News Channel's Greta Van Susteren about the trial.

Last week, a jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.

Juror 11, who served as the jury's foreperson, asked Fox News to conceal his identity.

The juror told Van Susteren about how he felt when attorney Jose Baez laid out the defense's case in his opening statement.

"it really threw me for -- it was shocking. It was very shocking," the juror said.

Jury foreman explains Casey Anthony acquittal

ORLANDO -- The jury foreman is now talking about why Casey Anthony was acquitted of murder.

The foreman oversaw jury deliberations, which lasted more than 10 hours.

He spoke to Fox News, but wanted his identity kept private.

After more than 30 days of testimony, he says there are still too many unanswered questions.

"We don't know the cause of death and that was one of the major issues we had addressed. We don't know the cause of death. Everything was speculation."

One point of contention was Casey's car.

The state says Casey killed Caylee, then hid her daughter's body in the trunk of her Pontiac Sunfire.

The car was eventually abandoned by a dumpster and towed.

When George Anthony picked it up, he testified that it smelled like death.

However, there was conflicting testimony from other witnesses who were called to the stand.

The Casey Anthony jury was so suspicious of the accused's father, George Anthony, that jurors believed he could be covering up a crime or even potentially could be a killer himself, the jury foreman said in a televised interview.

"There was a suspicion of him," the juror said. "That was a part of our conversation that we had."

The jury foreman, juror No. 11, voiced his feelings about George Anthony during an interview on Fox News' "On the Record with Greta van Susteren," in which he was photographed from behind and would not reveal his name.

As with other jurors who have been interviewed, the foreman said the panel was unconvinced by the evidence that Casey Anthony, 25, murdered her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee -- and was not even certain that a murder was committed.

"We don't know the cause of death," the juror said. "Everything was speculation."
