Paragould Police are asking that you be on the lookout for a 16-year-old male named Zach Ware.
Region 8 News has just received an update on
Ware's description from police. According to the police department, the
last people who saw Ware say he was wearing a blue polo and khaki pants.
Police also informed us that the truck Ware was driving is actually a
blue 2001 single cab Dodge Dakota with a black brush guard and two Casey
off road lights.
Ware is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 140 lbs; he has blue eyes and short, sandy hair.
The day Ware went missing, police say he left
his home around 6:30 a.m. July 25 to go to work. Then, at 11:25 a.m.,
Ware sent his parents a text message saying he was going to job training
in Jonesboro, then to football camp at Valley View School, then to the
Jonesboro Country Club afterward to eat and swim. Police say he told
them he would be home by 10:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Ware contacted police
the next day when they found he had not returned home.
Police say the Wares checked with all of the
locations they were given only to find out that he was never seen.
Investigators say two people have called in to report seeing Ware
passing through Walnut Ridge and getting gas at Pocahontas.
Police do not believe Ware is staying with friends, and say they do not believe this is a runaway case.
Hardy Police have also been scouting his grandparent's property near the river, but have not seen any signs of the missing teen.
If you have any information on the
whereabouts of Zach Ware, please contact the Paragould Police Department
as soon as possible at (870) 236-7621.

Paragould Police looking at phone records of missing teen
Updated:

PARAGOULD, AR
(KAIT) – The search is on for a missing Paragould teenager. 16-year-old
Zach Ware has been missing since Monday afternoon. His parents,
friends and police across Region 8 are assisting in the search to find
him. For Zach's family and friends and even the police his
disappearance is a mystery. He went to football practice, to work and
to a football scrimmage on Monday. The last time someone talked to Zach
was around noon. Now the search is on for a young man who everyone
says has no reason to disappear.
"We have not heard from Zach at all," said Zach's mom Judy Ware.
Zach Ware's parents say he has never stayed away from home without telling
them where he would be, especially for days. When he didn't come home
Monday night his parents got increasingly worried.
"We really got concerned the next morning because he wasn't responding to
our phone calls at all and then we really got the ball rolling by
contacting the police department," said Zach's dad Randy Ware.
The Ware's have been keeping a constant vigil waiting for their son to come home.
"Confused, worried," said Ware.
They're keeping close contact with Zach's friends who are also helping with the search for their son.
"When I hear something when somebody calls in I want to go check it out. That's what I have been doing," said Judy Ware.
The family was out most of the night on Tuesday and went back out searching
Wednesday afternoon. Numerous tips and sightings have been called in
about Zach but the Ware's say they don't know why he would leave.
"He's happy. There's no reason to believe that anything was wrong with him to cause him to just disappear," said Randy Ware.
"It's hard not knowing that he's not going to walk in that door," said Judy Ware.
He's now been missing for two days and this family wants answers.
"I try not to think the worst, I don't know why he would do anything," said Ware.
If Zach has taken off on his own his parents want him to know they're waiting with open arms.
"We love him and just come home don't be scared there's no reason to be scared," said Ware.
The police have tried to "ping" Zach's phone but say it's either turned off or dead.

Re: ZACH WARE - 16 yo - Paragould (NE of Jonesboro) AR
Despite reports made by other local media Thursday, officer Jack
Hailey of the Paragould Police Department told a Daily Press reporter at
4 p.m. Thursday that there was “nothing new” to report in the case of
16-year-old Zach Ware of Paragould, who has been missing since Monday
afternoon.
A local TV station, citing only “police” — with no
specific law enforcement agency named in the story — reported Thursday
that “police” had gotten a ping from Ware’s cellphone that indicated he
may have been in Sharp County on Tuesday.
When first contacted by
The Daily Press, Paragould Police Chief Todd Stovall said he was
unaware of any information being gained from Zach Ware’s cell phone and
said while the PPD is the lead agency on the case, other law enforcement
agencies have been contacted to help in the search.
Randy Ware, Zach’s father, told The Daily Press that Hailey had told him about the ping on Thursday morning.
Attempts
to contact Stovall for further comment on where the information came
from that was given to the station were unsuccessful.
Moving the search
Randy Ware said he and other members of the family were in the
Mammoth Springs area Thursday afternoon passing out missing flyers.
“We’ve been following leads, but nothing has panned out yet,” he said.
Zach
Ware is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds
and has light brown hair and blue eyes. He was driving his 2001 single
cab, four-wheel drive blue Dodge Dakota. The truck has a black brush
guard and two KC off-road lights and has an Arkansas license plate,
number 261 PGE. He was last seen wearing a blue button down shirt and
khaki pants, his father said.

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -
Police in various parts of northeast Arkansas
and southeast Missouri are involved in the search for 16-year-old Zach
Ware who has been missing since Monday afternoon.
For Zach's family, friends and even the
police, his disappearance is a mystery. He went to football practice but
did not make it to work or to a football scrimmage on Monday. Now, the
search is on for a young man who everyone says has no reason to
disappear.
Ware's family and friends have been traveling
across Greene, Craighead, Randolph, Sharp, and Lawrence counties over
the past several days following up on tips about the missing teen.
On Thursday, Jack Hailey with the Paragould
Police Department says a "ping" had been made from Zach's phone to a
cell phone tower in Sharp County. Zach's parents, Randy and Judy Ware
met with officers with the Criminal Investigation Division of the PPD to
discuss the investigation.
Police say the ping only tells them that his
phone may have been in that area, but it could be five feet from the
tower, or five miles.
Ware was last seen wearing jeans, black Nike
shoes, and a blue shirt. He is 5'10, and weighs 140 pounds. He is
driving a blue single cab Dodge Dakota truck.
If you have any information about the location of Ware, contact the Paragould Police Department at 870-236-7621.

SALEM — A body found Friday night in the area of Nine Mile Ridge
in rural Fulton County has been identified as that of Zachary M. Ware,
16, of Paragould, Sheriff Kenneth “Buck” Foley said in a press release
Monday afternoon.
Ware was last seen on the afternoon of July 25 and was later reported missing after he did not arrive for work.
The state medical examiner has ruled Ware’s death a “suicide by a fatal gunshot wound to the chest,” according to the release.
The
search for Ware shifted from Greene County to the Hardy area after the
teen’s cell phone signal “pinged” on a cell phone tower in Sharp County
twice. Upon arriving in the Nine Mile Ridge area, Fulton County officers
talked with witnesses and located the teen’s 2001 Dodge pick-up truck
on Rock House Road. Ware’s body was located by the Baxter County
Aviation Unit shortly afterward and was pronounced dead at the scene by
the deputy coroner.
A candlelight vigil in support of the Ware family is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Friday at Reynolds Park in Paragould.
