HOWELL — A local mother is pleading for the return
of her missing 16-year-old daughter who she said sped away in her
stepfather’s car following a heated argument Sunday.Angelina
Failla left her township residence in a 2010 Ford Fusion after a heated
fight with her mother and stepfather, according to Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd.
The girl is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and about 140 pounds with
brown hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. She was wearing contact
lenses that make her eyes appear to be blue when she was last seen on
Sunday, according to the girl’s mother, Suzanne Failla.
“I just want to hug her, I just want her to come home,” the girl’s mother pleaded.
The stepfather’s car was running in the driveway as the mother and daughter
were arguing, and the girl jumped into it and drove away, Suzanne
Failla explained. The car is black with New Jersey license plates NTY81Y, she said.
The girl does not have a valid driver’s license, but does possess a valid driving permit, her mother said.
“She was very upset and agitated when she left, and she has made threats of suicide in the recent past,” Dodd explained.
The girl also left without prescription medicines she needs for a medical condition, Dodd added.
“Angelina has left home in the past, but has always maintained contact with her
mother via text messages and she has returned home within a day or so.
This time when she left, she did not have her cellphone with her. She
also has no money, no change of clothes and she was barefoot,” Dodd said.

The search for a 16-year-old girl who has not been seen since July 31
is continuing and the efforts to locate her have taken to social media
websites.



The Facebook page Bring Angelina Failla home was
established as a way to share information about her possible
whereabouts as well as the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
As of Friday afternoon the page had 185 fans.

Angelina was reported missing from her home on Mariners Cove after an
argument with her mother and stepfather. Despite not being old enough
to drive, Angelina is believed to have left in a 2010 black Ford Fusion
with a license plate NTY81Y. The car belongs to her stepfather and was
running at the time of her departure according to police. At this time
the police do not have any leads on where she might be heading to.

As of Friday afternoon police Sgt. Eileen Dodd said there was no
update as to Failla's location but that the search was continuing.
She is described as being 5-5, 140 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair with medium complexion.
Dodd said Angelina has left home in the past, but unlike earlier
instances she did not bring her cell phone to contact her mother. She
also reportedly had no money, changes of clothing or shoes at the time
she left.

Angelina Failla, reported missing July 31, has been found, police said.
