BRIDGET SWARTZ - 17 yo - Cape Vincent NY
CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. -- State police are searching for a missing Cape Vincent teenager.
Bridget Swartz, 17, was supposed to take a Greyhound bus from Batavia to
Watertown Wednesday, but police believe that Swartz never switched buses
in Syracuse. They say Swartz could now be in either the Syracuse area
or Watertown after possibly receiving a ride.
Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police
in Alexandria Bay at (315) 482-5011 or in Watertown at (315) 782-2112.

CAPE VINCENT — A town of Cape Vincent girl who was attending a career
training program in Western New York is missing, according to state
police.
Being sought is Bridget M. Swartz, 17, of County Route 6.
She is 5 feet tall, is black, weighs about 130 pounds, and has black
hair and brown eyes. She has not been seen since Wednesday, when, at
about noon, she boarded a Greyhound Bus at Batavia, according to police.
She
failed to make a bus connection at Syracuse for her scheduled ride that
evening to Watertown. Troopers said they believe she stayed in
Syracuse, or may have been given private transportation to Watertown.
Miss
Swartz, who participated in soccer and softball at Thousand Islands
Central School, is a daughter of Donald and Adele Swartz. Neither could
be reached Friday.
Miss Swartz is an enrolled student at the Iroquois Job Corps facility
at Medina, northwest of Batavia, and was sent home for medical leave,
according to Diane Krenning, business community liaison at the facility.
Ms.
Krenning was unable to elaborate about the girl’s enrollment, but said
it is likely that she began attendance there following the end of the
school year in an 18-month career instructional program. If that was the
case, she would not have been returning to Thousand Islands Central for
her senior year, Ms. Krenning said.
State police ask that anyone
having possible information about the teenager call their Alexandria Bay
station at 482-5011, or Watertown at 782-2112.
